I dont not use radeon but instead a GeoForce and its a 4000X I think but never the less. It's your hardware, which is either too old, or not using the proper version of software because you didn't download the right version. The Steam store page tells you specifically that you need DirectX 11 to run the game. The 6XX series cards or better would be the video cards that use DirectX 10 or 11, while earlier cards may run into compatibility issues. This works for the same for NVidia cards that were released around the same time as each series of Radeon card as well. Otherwise, you will get the compatibility issue you are describing. You can use a 5500 or better series radeon card with DirectX 10. And a 7XXXX or higher will use DirectX 11 as its native version, which is the version of DirectX that Company of Heroes is optimized for. A Radeon 6XXXX series will use DirectX 10.
